Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus)

Thimbleberry is a thornless multi-stemmed shrub, which can reach up to 10 ft tall at maturity. Often forming in clumps or thickets, it is most often found in moist sites with well drained soils, and can tolerate a range of sun conditions. Thimbleberry's large white flowers give way to a red raspberry-like fruit. The fruit are very delicate, which may be why they are not cultivated commercially. Thimbleberry has very large, soft leaves, earning it the nickname 'nature's toilet paper'.
