Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii)

Pacific dogwood is native to the western United States and Canada. It is a deciduous tree with showy flowers in spring and brilliant color in the fall. Height is generally between 12 - 35 ft tall, but it can reach as tall as 70 ft. Pacific dogwood prefers moist but well drained soils, is tolerant to flooding, and can tolerate a range of sun and soil conditions. It is generally found below 5000ft, on stream banks and gentle slopes in mixed forests.
